Two Dayton men have been taken into custody after reportedly being involved in a drug deal in the presence of a child.

Larry J. Anderson, 27, 24 East Parkwood, and Malcolm J. Stockton, 18, 4311 Stillwater Landing, were in a car where police say a 7-year-old child was when a drug deal went down Tuesday.

According to the police report, an informant arranged to purchase crack cocaine and trade OxyContin 80 milligram tablets for crack cocaine from Anderson and Jonda Cooper.

Police say the suspects arrived with Cooper's 7-year-old child in the vehicle with Anderson driving and Stock-ton in the back seat.

Officers said they were then advised by the informant that Cooper had traded crack cocaine for six Oxy-Contin 80 milligram tablets.

Officers then stopped the vehicle at the west end of the Second Street Bridge, and they say a search of the vehicle revealed the empty bottle that belonged to the officers in the center console next to Anderson and Cooper.

Officers said they were advised that Anderson had dumped the six OxyContin tablets into an open soda can in the console next to him.

Officers checked and found the remains of the green coating on the OxyContin tablets floating in the soda can.

Anderson is charged with complicity to trafficking in drugs-OxyContin in the vicinity of a juvenile, complicity to trafficking in drugs containing cocaine in the vicinity of a juvenile and tampering with evidence.

Stockton faces a charge of trafficking in drugs containing cocaine in the vicinity of a juvenile.
