Evelyn Louise Bellomy, 84, of Henley-Comstock Road, in McDermott, passed away Monday, July 16, 2007, at St. Mary's Medical Center in Huntington, W.Va.

Born June 1, 1923, in Wheelersburg, Ohio, a daughter of the late Murel and Mary Linkous Davidson. She was a 1942 graduate of Portsmouth West High School and an employee of Selby Shoe Company. She was a member of Central Christian Church of Portsmouth, Ohio.

Evelyn was a loving mother and grandmother, known for her wittiness and a joy to all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank A. Bellomy, Jan. 1, 1996; a daughter, Barbara Jones, in 1978; a son, Stephen Bellomy, in 1998; and her sister, Ruth Knittel, in 2004.

Surviving are her daughter, Judy (John) TePas; and son, Dan (Dolly) Bellomy, both of McDermott; eight grandchildren, Stephanie (Frank) Redoutey, of Hillsboro, Julie Brown, of Columbus, Tracy and Chris Bellomy, of Waverly, Autumn TePas, of Portsmouth, Joe (Summer) TePas, of West Portsmouth, Danny Bellomy, of Columbus, and Barbara Bellomy, of McDermott; daughter-in-law, Joyce Bellomy; and seven great-grandchildren, Jake, Sydney, Kyle, Tommy, Alex, Andy and Allie.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Botkin Funeral Home in Otway. Interment will follow in Scioto Burial Park.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, and one hour before the service on Thursday.
