Barry R. Baldridge, 35, of Camp Creek, Lucasville, was killed when his pickup truck went off the road and struck a tree in Licking County at about 4:45 p.m. Monday, according to Ohio State Highway Patrol.
The crash occurred near Harbor Hills Country Club in Licking County.
“He had been staying with his girlfriend in Thornville for the last three months, but we still show his address as Lucasville,” said Sgt. Mary Cosgrove, of the Granville Post of the OSHP.
Baldridge reportedly was driving his 2000 Chevy Silverado southbound on Lexington Street when his pickup veered off the right side of the road, striking a tree.
Baldridge was flown by helicopter to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead, according to OSHP investigators.
Troopers said he was alone in the truck and no other vehicles were involved.
“The cause is unknown at this time, and it is still under investigation,” Cosgrove said.
Funeral arrangements are pending at McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville.
