She was born Aug. 21, 1959, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Garland Wesley Darnell and Francis Clarey Darnell.
Surviving are her husband, Jerry Lee Howard; sons, Char-les Ray Howard and Jerry D. Howard; brothers, Charles Darnell and George G. Darnell; sisters, Bonnie Kelly and Beverly Love; and three grandchildren.
Private services will be at the convenience of the family. Arrangements are under the direction of D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston.
