He was born on Feb. 21, 1935, in Shelby Gap, Ky., a son of the late Leck and Gracie Bryant Baker.
Surviving are his wife, Virginia L. Cable Baker; sons, Kenneth Baker, Harold Baker and Tom Baker; daughters, Sandy Taylor and Karen Gee; brothers, Evan Baker and Leck Baker Jr.; sisters, Marie McNeal, Mae Cable, Lena Conwell and Velva Booth; nine grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be noon Friday at Lombardsville Church with Pastor George Vastine officiating and interment in Garvin Cemetery.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Botkin Funeral Home in Otway and from 11 a.m. to noon at the church.
