He was born Feb. 13, 1940, in Lucasville, a son of the late Harvey Ashley and Pearl Kazee Ashley. He was a Navy veteran.
Surviving are his wife, Ruth Ann Carey Ashley; daughter, Camilla “Jane” Allen; sisters, Christine Pertuset, Delores Conley and Jewel Crabtree; three grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, at Murray-Fettro Funeral Home, 380 Jefferson St., Greenfield, with Pastor Craig McDaniels and the Rev. Kenneth Burchett officiating and interment in Greenfield Cemetery, with military rites by the Concerned Veterans of Greenfield.
Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
