He was born Feb. 16, 1920, in Scioto County, a son of the late Everett and Maude Shear Allen. He was a World War II Marine Corps veteran.
He is survived by his wife, Bessie Darragh Allen; son, Steve Allen; brother, Eugene Allen; and sisters, Lovelle Kronk and Opal Murphy.
Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Pastor Daniel R. King officiating and interment in Mount Carmel Cemetery in Minford with military graveside rites by James Irwin Post American Leg-ion.
Friends may call from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday. at the funeral home.
