New and old tractors, along with Hit and Miss engines, will be on display throughout the day until 5 p.m. A tractor parade through the park will begin at 11 a.m., and tractor games will begin at 1 p.m. Games include a barrel roll, egg run, slow race and more. A “Kiddies Tractor Pull” also will begin at 1 p.m.
The event will be at the community pool parking lot located at the park. Registration will be 9 to 11 a.m., and all tractors and Hit and Miss engines are welcome.

Talent showcase scheduled Saturday
The President's Gala Talent Showcase will begin at 9 p.m. Saturday at Vern Riffe Center for the Arts at Shawnee State University. Tickets will be $15 and will be available at the McKinley Box Office until the show begins.
The talent show is being produced and directed by Michael Barnhart, senior music instructor at SSU, with Leo Schlosser, Vern Riffe Center for the Arts technical director, serving as the technical director of the production. Performing will be Shirley Crothers-Marley and Bill Hannah, Chris Boyles, Karen Arthur, Doug Parsley and Angela Walker, Cirque d'Art, Nick Meriwether and Tim Hamilton, the SSU theater department, and members of the SSU cheerleaders and dance team.
Relay for Life planning is Monday
Planning meetings for the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life will be Monday at Portsmouth Cancer Center, Kinneys Lane. Team captains will meet at 6 p.m., followed by the Relay Committee at 7 p.m.
This year's event will be June 22 and 23 at the Scioto County Fairgrounds. Relay celebrates cancer survivors and honors its victims.
Anyone interested in helping wipe out this disease is invited to attend these meetings and share ideas for a bigger and better Relay for Life. Dinner benefits Relay for Life
Wakefield Warriors Relay for Life will have a beef and chicken dinner from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Scioto Township Fire Department in Wakefield. Menu will include mashed potatoes, green beans, cole slaw, rolls and pie. Dinners will be $6 each. For more information, call (740) 289-4524.
