He was born Sept. 7, 1925, in South Webster, son of the late William Sylvester and Bessie Veach Lewis. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen Lou Liles Lewis.
He is survived by sons, James Robert, Charles Brady, William Dexter, Estle Ray and Jesse Clinton; daughters, Thelma Jean Lewis, Joe Anne Claxon and Mary Catherine Alexander; sister, Dorsie Eleanor Lewis Pittman; 26 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
Service will be 2 p.m. Saturday at Bevins Chapel's Fellowship Hall in Garrison, Ky., and interment in Cooper Willis Cemetery. Arrangements were under the direction of Lewis Embalming Service, of Beechbottom, W.Va.
