He was born Aug. 21, 1940, in Scioto County, a son of Clyde and Felcia Short Chancey.
Surviving are his wife, Zelma; son, Christopher Ryan; daughter, Rebecca; sisters, Elaine Chancey, Kathy Blanton and Darlene Dillon;. seven grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Crossroads Church, 5679 Tarlton Road, Circleville, with Pastor Paul Elswick officiating.
Friends may call after 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the church. Arrangements were completed by Wellman Funeral Home in Circleville.
