She was born Feb. 24, 1941, in Baltimore, Md., a daughter of the late Elmer Short and Vivian Chaffman.
Surviving are her husband, Harvey Edward Morton; sons, Raymond Roland, Bruce Wayne and James Allen Morton; daughter, Alice A. Morton; sister, Soigernia Carper; and three grandchildren.
Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Phillips Funeral Home in Ironton with Pastor Josh Huffman officiating and interment in Slabfork Cemetery.
Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
