Grace Neal, 82

Grace Ann Fowles Neal, 82, of Traditions at Bristol in Waverly, Ohio, answered the call of her Lord and Savior to return home March 16, 2007.

She was born Aug. 1, 1924, in Manhattan, N.Y., a daughter of the late George and Anna Fowles. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover L. Neal.

Surviving are daughters, Mary Sharon Fout and Kerry Maureen Davis; sons, Brian Lewis, Kevin Dennis, Michael Patrick and Timothy Keith Neal; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Monday at Beaver Emmanuel United Methodist Church in Beaver with the Rev. Herman Stewart and the Rev. Ronnie Hines officiating and interment in Beaver Union Cemetery.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly and from noon to 1 p.m. Monday at the church.

George Stone, 83

George Robert “Bob” Stone, 83, of Portsmouth, died Thursday, March 15, 2007, at Hill View Retirement Center.

He was born July 6, 1923, in Portsmouth, a son of the late William Adolf Stone and Mabel Hasselman Stone. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Catherine Stone. He is survived by son, David Franklin Stone; and one granddaughter.

Services will be 10 a.m. Monday at F.C. Daehler Mortuary in Portsmouth with the Rev. Peter Michael officiating and interment in Greenlawn Cemetery with military graveside rites by James Dickey Post American Legion.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Johnny Goins, 60

Johnny Franklin Goins, 60, of Sciotodale, died Thursday, March 15, 2007, at home.

He was born June 28, 1946, in Dayton, Tenn., a son of Ramile Goins.

Surviving are his wife, Linda Sue Jones Goins; son, Franklin Charles Goins; daughter, Sally Louise Creasman; and three grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Coulter-Garrison Funeral Home in Dayton, Tenn., with interment in Pleasant View Cemetery. Friends may call after 4 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Local arrangements are under the direction of Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg.

Corey Meyer, 36

Corey James Meyer, 36, of New Boston, died Saturday, Feb. 17, 2007, in a car accident.

He was born Sept. 2, 1970, in Albany, Ore.

He is survived by stepchildren, Tyler and Nicole Tipton.

There will be no visitation or funeral services. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home in Ironton.

Mary Mack, 75

Mary Ruth Mack, 75, of West Union, died Thursday, March 15, 2007, at Lexington, Ky., hospital.

She was born March 9, 1932, in West Union, a daughter of the late Joseph Robert and Nelle Gaffin Liston.

Surviving are her son, Randy Mack; four grandchildren; and one great-grandson.

Services will be 2 p.m. Sunday at Beam Funeral Home in West Union with Robbie Scott officiating and interment in Manchester Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Jackson Holt Sr., 88

Jackson Buhl Holt Sr., 88, of Waverly, died Friday, March 16, 2007, at a Chillicothe hospital.

He was born March 3, 1919, in Fairmont, W.Va., a son of the late Fredrick C. Holt and Bessie Alee From Holt. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Jacqulyn Opal Abercrombie Holt; sons, James A. Holt, Jackson B. Holt Jr. and Lawrence Holt; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly with Chaplain Renee Burleigh officiating and interment in Evergreen Union Cemetery, Denver Road, with military graveside rites by Merritt Post American Legion.

Friends may call from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.

Keith Justice, 50

Keith Justice, 50, of Catlettsburg, Ky., died Thursday, March 15, 2007, at his home.

He was born Nov. 21, 1956, in Pikeville, Ky., a son of Jo Ann Nunnery Justice Kerns and the late Donald Keith Justice.

Also surviving are his wife, Lynne Justice; daughter, Hollie Lynne Justice; and son, Aaron Keith Justice.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Preston Family Funeral Home in Ashland, Ky., with the Rev. Shawn Mayenschein officiating and interment in Rose Hill Burial Park.
