Bonnie Bumgardner, 67

Bonnie Jean Keller Bumgardner, 67, of North Moreland, died Saturday, March 10, 2007.

She was born Dec. 1, 1939, in North Moreland, a daughter of the late Vance and Virginia Seth Keller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Bumgardner.

Bonnie is survived by sons, Jimmy and Bill Bumgardner; brothers, Jack and Darrell Keller; sister, Shirley Wright; four grandchildren; one stepgranddaughter.

Services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Paul Hagen officiating and interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m Tuesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Paula Schwab, 54

Paula Schwab, 54, of Ironton, died March 10, 2007, at an Ashland, Ky., hospital.

She was born April 12, 1952, in Minford, a daughter of Richard and Donna Snyder King.

Surviving are her husband, Tim Schwab; son, Paul Howard; daughter, Melissa Howard; seven sisters, Rhonda King, Pam King, Julia McGuire, Deena King, Janet Kuhlman, Kimberly Phillips and Jamie Jackson; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with the Rev. Terri King officiating.

Letha Dickess, 90

Letha B. Dickess, 90, of South Point, died Saturday, March, 10, 2007, at an Ashland, Ky., hospital.

She was born July 5, 1916, in Waverly, a daughter of the late Donald and Verna Viola Atkinson Bazell. She was preceded in death by husband, Earl Wayne Dickess.

Surviving are daughter, Betty Lou Hughes; brother, the Rev. Earl Bazell; a grandson; and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Tuesday at Hayes-Phillips Funeral Home in Ironton with Pastor Tim Jayne officiating and interment in Highland Memorial Gardens.

Friends may call after noon Tuesday at the funeral home.

Iris Lawson

Iris Irene Jeanette Lawson, infant daughter of Ryan Edward Lawson and Patsy Sue Marie Schnitzius, died Thursday, March 8, 2007, shortly after birth at a Columbus hospital.

Also surviving are grandparents, Howard and Connie Lawson, Linda and Roy Robinson, and Scott and Christy Schnitzius; great-grandparents, Chet and Ruth Stevens, Irene Kerns, and Ruby Doris Bryant; and great-great-grandparents.

Graveside services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday at Junior Furnace Cemetery with the Rev. William Knittel officiating. Arrangements are under

the direction of Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.

William Clifford Sr., 69

William “Bill” David Clifford Sr., 69, of Leesburg, a former Jamestown resident, died Saturday, March 10, 2007, at his residence.

He was born April 6, 1937, at Camp Creek, Pike County, a son of the late Amos and Margaret Crabtree Clifford.

He is survived by his wife, Delores “Sis” Strickland Clifford; sons, William “Bud” Clifford Jr. and Richard Piatt; daughters, Pamela Ewing, Penny Belt, Tamera Dorn and Lori King; brothers, Ted and Joe Clifford; sisters, Dorothy Looney and Regina Clifford; 22 grandchildren; and14 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at McKinley Funeral Home in Lucasville with Bill Colley officiating and interment in Mount Olive Cemetery.

Friends may call from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday and after 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Anthony Venturino, 89 

Anthony Venturino, 89, of Portsmouth, died Saturday, March 10, 2007, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.

He was born Nov. 18, 1917, New Boston, a son of Salvatore Venturino and Caterina Tallarico Venturino. He was a World War II Army Air Corps veteran.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Jean Cozzins Venturi. Surviving are sons, Harry and Sam Venturino; daughters, Deanie Merrifield and Tonette Howbert; sister, Yolanda Temper; and seven grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Rev. Ted Machnik officiating and interment in Memorial Burial Park and graveside military rites by James Dickey Post American Legion Honor.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at F.C. Daehler Mortuary in Portsmouth.

Gary Noles, 48

Gary M. Noles, 48, of Portsmouth, died Friday, March 9, 2007, at a Waverly hospital.

He was born March 17, 1958, in Portsmouth, a son of the late Emmitt and Millie Washington Noles.

Surviving is his wife, Cathy Wright Noles.

Services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth with the Rev. Michael Phillips officiating and interment in Siloam Cemetery in Kentucky.
