Fundraiser benefits Habitat for Humanity

Habitat for Humanity will be having a fundraiser from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. March 17 at the Portsmouth Pizza Hut.

Twenty percent of each purchase on that day will go to Habitat for Humanity - just tell the server that you are there for Habitat.

Prom committee plans bazaar

The Manchester High School Junior/Senior Prom Committee and parents will host a spring bazaar at 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. March 31, at Manchester High School in Manchester.

The doors will open at 8 a.m. For those who would like to set up on Friday, the school will be open from 6 to 8 p.m.

Language Fair is set for March 20

The annual Wheelersburg High School Language Fair will be March 20. There will be a variety of student projects on display in the high school cafeteria from 3 until 8 p.m.

Sample food from French and Spanish-speaking countries beginning at 5 p.m. A simulated Tour de France bicycle race will take place at 5:45 p.m.

The Spanish 3 class will present its infomercial video at 6 p.m. and the Spanish 4 class soap opera video will be shown at 6:30 p.m.

A variety show in the gym beginning at 7 p.m. will feature the French 3 class acting in its version of Cinderella, as well as popular dances performed by the Latin dance group.

Everyone is invited to come and celebrate languages with the W.H.S. students.
