Michael Free, 50

Michael Ray Free, 50, of Otway, Ohio, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at his residence.

He was born Sept. 27, 1956, in Springfield, and son of John and Laura Free

He also is survived by his wife, Kim Free; son, Michael Ray Free II; daughters, Heather Baer Amy Rowe; brother, Doug Free; sisters, Wanda Fitzpatrick and Karen Rivers; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Beechfork Christian Baptist Church with Mark Baer and Jeff Craft officiating and interment in the Scioto Burial Park. Callers from 5 to 8 p.m. Friday and from noonto 1 p.m. Saturday at the church. Arrangements are under the direction of Botkin Funeral Home in Waverly.

Don Skidmore, 59

Don Skidmore, 59, of Garrison, Ky., died Feb. 19, 2007, at his home.

He was born April 8, 1947, in Garrison, Ky., a son of the late Buster Kenneth and June Richardson Skidmore. He was an Army Veteran.

Surviving are wife, Judy Bolander Skidmore; sons, James Donald Jr. and Floyd Edward Skidmore; daughter, Donna D. Skidmore; brothers, Nelson Skidmore, Kenneth Skidmore, David Skidmore, Larry Skidmore and Buster Skidmore; sisters, Wilma Collier, Betty Bloomfield and Cora May; and four grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Gaydos Funeral Home in Vanceburg, Ky., with Joe Bentley officiating and interment in Skidmore Cemetery with military graveside rites by Veteran of Foreign Wars Monte Lewis Stamm Post.

Friends may call from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday.

Effie White, 88

Effie Mae White, 88, of Pedro, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at an Ashland, Ky., hospital.

She was born April 17, 1918, in Lawrence County, a daughter of the late John and Rosa Smith Addis. She was preceded in death by husband, Celces J. White.

Surviving are daughters, Barbara Vincell, Sharon Jenkins and Juanita Lang; sons, John, Dale, Ron and Donald White; 14 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home in Ironton with the Rev. Todd Warner officiating and interment in Woodland Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

Cora Moore, 81

Cora Moore, 81, of Piketon, died Feb. 20, 2007, at a Waverly hospital.

She was born Dec. 15, 1925, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Lauda Milton Cordle and Edith Diller Cordle. She was preceded in death by husband, Elmer Moore,

Surviving are sons, Ronald Dean and Melvin Lynn Moore; sisters, Janet New, Ruth Ramey and Judy Cantrell; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Boyer Funeral Home in Waverly with the Rev. Mark Polley officiating and interment in Evergreen Union Cemetery.

Ruth Webster, 89

Ruth J. Webster, 89, of Beavercreek, a former New Boston resident, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at a Beavercreek nursing home.

She was born Oct. 26, 1917, in Carter City, Ky., a daughter of the late William Everman and Iva Rice Everman.

Ruth is survived by son, William "Bill" Webster; daughters, Bonita Kay Money, and Margaret Gail McKenzie; nine grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Webster.

Services will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston with Pastor Gary Heimbach officiating and interment in Sunset Memorial Gardens.

Susan Brant, 56

Susan F. Brant, 56, of Sandusky, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at her residence.

She was born April 29, 1950, in Scioto County, a daughter of the late Elmer and Ruby James Skaggs.

Surviving are her husband, Douglas Brant; sons, Frank Skaggs, Phillip York, John York, Steven Brant, Walter Brant and Shannon York; stepsons, Douglas Brant Jr., Alvin Brant, Larry Brant, Jim Brant, Robert Brant, Daniel Brant and Kenneth Eckleberry; daughters, Ruby McCauley, April Brant and Laura Martin; stepdaughter, Linda Sanders; brothers, Robert, Joe, Mark and Chester Skaggs; sisters, Helen Stoneking, Barbara Collier, Rachael Brant, Waynetta Keaton, Judy McGarey and Rose Lambert; many grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Pastor Bud Patrick officiating and interment in Universal Cemetery.

Donna Boyer, 66

Donna Boyer, 66, of Lucasville, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007.

She was born June 9, 1930, in Columbus, a daughter of the late William and Margaret Farr Elson. She was preceded in death by husband, John W. Boyer.

Surviving are brother, Russell Edward Elson; and sisters, Doris Sandie, Elizabeth Graham and Nancy Wise.

Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at Cox Funeral Home in Beaver with interment in Wyres Cemetery.

Hester Wills, 80, of Oak Hill, died Tuesday, Feb. 20, 2007, at a Huntington, W.Va., hospital.

She was born Jan. 9, 1927, in Floyd County, Ky., a daughter of the late Thomas and Margaret Loraine Spears.

She was survived by husband, Ollie Wills; brother, Thomas Spears; and sisters, Dorathy Saxton, Georgie Campbell, Ruth Miracle, Marsha June McConnell.

Services will be 1 p.m. Sunday at Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home with Elder Roy Bickle officiating and interment in Hill Cemetery.

William “Bill” Fenton, 32, of Blue Creek, died Monday, Feb. 19, 2007, at a Cincinnati hospital.

He was born April, 6, 1974, in Marion, a son of Denver and Gloria Hayslip Fenton.

Surviving are son, Dalton Fenton; daughter, Jessica Fenton; brother, Jeff Fenton; sister, Melody Swift; and grandmother, Elsie Fenton.
