In the second-to-last regular season game of year, Green needed a little more time to secure the win.
The Bobcats withstood six Notre Dame 3s to defeat the Titans 79-72 in overtime on Friday. Nathan Patten scored 20 points and Randy Ratcliff added 18 and 14 rebounds as the Bobcats improved to 6-7 in the SOC and 7-11 overall. Patten also added five steals and seven assists.
“It was good to get out of there with a win,” said Green coach David Hopper. “The kids played very hard. We're just trying to improve this season in a positive way.”
Ian Kelley chipped in 12 points and Joey Dyer scored 10 in the win. Green made 27 of 32 free throws.
Alex Davis hit three 3s and scored 16 for Notre Dame Michael Mullins added 14 and Aaron Noel tallied 15 points.

Western Pike 72, New Boston 63
The Indians proved they can win without players named McCleod and White on Friday.
Vince Shanks scored 23 points and 14 rebounds and Anthony Penwell added 14 and eight rebounds as Western Pike stayed ahead in the SOC I with a win at New Boston. The Indians clinched a share of the SOC I, the first time in more than 30 years.
“We were glad to get this out of the way,” said Western coach Phil Howard. “I was a little bit concerned that we were going to fell overconfident with a showdown with Eastern next week.”
Western's leading scorers, Jeremy McCleod and Michael White were limited to 10 and 13 points, respectively, but the Indians made 17 free throws to ice the game. White had seven assists.
Josh Howell scored 19 for the Tigers and Josh Holbrook contributed 12 in the loss. Justin Bowling had nine points to go along with 11 rebounds.
“It was 49-47 in the third quarter,” said New Boston head coach Don Stapleton. “Both teams played well. We did a good job containing McCleod and White, it's just that Penwell and Shanks played well.”

Sean Smith scored 16 points and Evan Priced added 13 as the Falcons got to .500 with a win at Northwest. Minford in 6-7 in the SOC.
The game was close throughout but an 18-13 second quarter and a 17-13 fourth gave Minford the edge it needed to win.
“The kids played hard,” said Minford assistant Ryan McGraw. “We had a good defensive effort in the second half and had good ball control.”
Bo Wilson and Stephan Spriggs contributed 13 apiece for the Mohawks. Quinn Dunn added 11.

Zach Call had a game-high 23 points and Matt McClain had 14 as the Indians got their fourth conference win of the year. Isaiah Keller added 13 in the win. Valley had a distinct advantage at the line making 26 free throws to West's nine.
“We just hit out free throws down the stretch,” said Valley coach Kurt McGraw. “We had 17 offensive rebounds in the second half. That was big.”
Shea Lauder had 22 points and two 3s for the Senators Austin Seevers had 16 in the loss.

Eastern Pike gained sole possession of second place in the SOC I with a win against the Vikings. Aaron Polen had 20 points and Roman Slone contributed 16 for the Eagles, who improved to 10-2 in the conference. Polen added seven rebounds and Bryan Osborne pulled down 10 to go along with 14 points. The Eagles hit 10 3s in the win.
“I think we played a pretty good game tonight but especially in the second half I think we did a nice job and we were able to extend our lead,” said Eastern coach Jeff Caldwell. We passed the ball really well tonight.”
Eastern Pike had 16 assists.
