Scioto County Sheriff Marty V. Donini said at about 5 p.m. Friday that detectives from the Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit, along with probation officers from Scioto County Common Pleas Court Probation Department, seized hundreds of fake prescriptions at the residence of Jeremy Adkins, 30, 11395 Ohio 104, Lot 15, Lucasville.

Donini said narcotics detectives were requested to respond to Adkins' residence by probation officers who had been conducting a home visit there.

During a search of the residence, detectives and probation officers reported finding hundreds of fake prescriptions, physician directories, an Oxycontin 20-milligram tablet and a home computer.

Adkins was placed in Scioto County Jail by the probation department on a probation violation and is being held without bond.

Adkins is on probation for being convicted in Scioto County Common Pleas Court in 2004 on charges of possession of drugs and carrying a concealed weapon.

Donini said the case against Adkins is continuing to be investigated by narcotics detectives and will be forwarded to the Scioto County Prosecutor's Office to be presented to a Scioto County Grand Jury.

Donini said anyone with any information about drug activity in Scioto County can contact his agency and all information will be kept confidential and anonymous. He requests anyone wishing to leave drug information to contact the Scioto County Sheriff's Office Narcotics Unit at (740) 351-1094.
