Edmund Taylor, 70

Edmund L. Taylor, 70, of South Shore, Ky., died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at his residence.

He was born Aug. 15, 1936, in South Shore, Ky.,a son of the late Homer Taylor and Marjorie Timberlake Taylor.

He was a Korean War Navy veteran.

Surviving are his wife, Louise Smith Taylor; son, Scott Taylor; sisters, Pauline Austin and Jaquline Anderson; andthree grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Friday at Roberson Funeral Home in South Shore, Ky., with the Rev. Wesley Cooper officiating.and interment in Mount Zion Cemetery with military graveside services by the James L. Flannery Post American Legion.

Friends may call from 6 to 9 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.

James Day, 72

James H. Day, 72, of Manchester, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 12, 1934, in Adams County, a son of the late Edward Day and Nellie Bradford.

Surviving are son, Michael Day; and daughters, Jamie Adkins, Brenda Wisecup, Donna Case and Sandi Day; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be 2 p.m. Friday at Wilson Home for Funerals with the Rev. Johnny Jones officiating and interment in Manchester Cemetery.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Betty Montgomery, 73

Betty Jean Montgomery, 73, of Wheelersburg, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007, at home.

She was born March 29, 1953, in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Floyd Hedrick and Mytle Stephenson Hedrick.

Surviving are her husband, Donald F. Montgomery; sons, Michael F. Montgomery and Donald F. Montgomery Jr.; sisters, Helen Stidham and Lillian Hedrick; and five grandchildren.

Services will be 10 a.m. Saturday at Swick-Bussa-Chamberlin Funeral Home in Wheelersburg with the Rev. Gary Heimbach officiating with interment in Memorial Burial Park.

Friends may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday and from 9 to 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.

Loren Willis, 91

Loren R. Willis, 91, of Ironton, died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 2007.

He was born May 22, 1915, a son of the late Sidney and Margaret Martin Willis.

Surviving are daughter, Janice Heaberlin; sister, Rachel Jenkins; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday at Phillips Funeral Home in Ironton with Pastor Terry Stivers officiating and interment in Woodland Cemetery.
