Police say a West Portsmouth, Ky., man who tried to get a drug dealer arrested was instead arrested himself early Sunday morning.
According to police reports, Edward W. Holman, 35, got intoxicated and was ripped off trying to buy cocaine around 1 a.m. at Blondies bar.
Holman then walked to the police station and was arrested himself when he tried to get the person who ripped him off arrested.
The South Shore Water Works employee was charged with disorderly conduct (intoxication) after walking from Blondies at 1003 Clay St.
Officer Jason Hedrick said Holman was “extremely intoxicated” and asked for a police officer, while stumbling in the parking lot of the police station.
Since he did not have a safe way home, Holman was taken to the Scioto County jail for his own safety.
Holman spent about four hours in jail before posting bail and being released, a jail employee said.
