Bigelow hosts special seminar

Bigelow Church will host a special seminar “Childhood Conversion: How Children Come to Faith in Christ” from 9 a.m. to noon Feb. 10. This seminar is for workers in nursery, Sunday school, youth and youth church, parents, expectant parents, grandparents, or anyone concerned about lost people. Nursery will be available.

Christ UMC hosts training workshop

Christ United Methodist Church, 5731 Gallia St., Sciotoville, will host Coalition Against Family Violence interactive training workshop on the topic of family violence, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. today. The training will teach participants to identify the signs of family violence, estimate the seriousness of abuse in the life of another, help a person at risk to develop a safety plan, connect a person at risk to resources, and formulate a prevention and awareness plan for the community. The training and materials are offered at no charge to local congregations.
