Bernice “Bea” Diddle, 77, of Portsmouth, died Sunday, Jan. 21, 2007, at Southern Ohio Medical Center.
She was born on May 1, 1929, in Sciotoville, a daughter of the late Frank and Blanche Fairchild Patrick. She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Diddle.
Survivors include sons, John, Gary, David and Mark Diddle ; daughters, Jean Ann Yuenger and Barbara Rosenberg; brother, Mike Patrick; sister, Sue Newman; 17 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Brant Funeral Home in Portsmouth with the Rev. Peter Michael officiating and interment in Mound Cemetery.

Hubert Finney
Hubert J. Finney, 93, of Portsmouth, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, at Heartland of Portsmouth.
He was born Oct. 15, 1913, in Taylor, Ky., a son of Julius and Effie Justice Finney.
Services will be 11 a.m. Friday at the Wolfe-Nelson Funeral Home in Sciotoville with the Rev. Glenn Lawhun officiating. Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Mabel Hart, 80
Mabel Marie Hart, 80, of Piketon, died Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2007, at a Waverly hospital.
She was born July 9, 1926, in Piketon, a daughter of the late David Ambrose Finley and Edna Wyckoff Finley. She was preceded in death by husband, Clellie Hart.
Surviving are sons, Timothy Hart and Darrell Williams; daughters, Barbara Jones, Diana Beekman, Carol Chandler Hougland, Lavonda Hart and Debra Williams; sisters, Lula Hatfield and Mary Elizabeth Mathews; 21 grandchildren; and 14 great-grandchildren.

Garnet Hearn, 88, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, in a Columbus hospital.
She was a daughter of the late Luther Ealey and Lillie Mae Ealey.
She was preceded in death by husband, James Hearn Jr.

She was born April 24, 1917, in Nelsonville, Ohio, a daughter of Mary Emish Hall and George Patrick Hall.
She was preceded in death by husband, John R. Salladay.
Surviving are sons, Jeffrey Hall Salladay and John Michael Salladay; four granddaughters; and six great-grandchildren.

She was born Feb. 20, 1916, in Lawrence County, a daughter of the late Harley and Elsie Kerns Blagg. She was preceded in death by husband, Earl Sherrick Jr.

He was a World War II Army veteran.

Victoria Jean Stepp, 53, of Portsmouth, died Monday, Jan. 22, 2007, Southern Ohio Medical Center.
She was born July 11, 1953, in Williamson, W.Va., to Harold Lloyd Stepp and Betty Jean Griffey Stepp.
Also surviving are daughters, Amberly Louise Stepp, Jalynne Shea Johnson, Terrie Lin Layne and Jakkie Lin Layne; and her sister, Elizabeth Louise Stepp.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Central Baptist Church with the Rev. Arliss McCall officiating. There is to be no visitation.
