The fifth annual festival will be Friday, Saturday and Sunday at the Rarden Community Park on Ohio 73.
Ward said the purpose of the festival is to both educate and provide fun for the estimated 5,000 visitors each year.
Events will include an archery shoot, a shotgun competition, bow shooting safety education and a 3-on-3 basketball tournament.
The festival also will include food, crafts and music.
