Another game, another win for Notre Dame.

On a roll since the season began, the Lady Titans kept on their winning ways Tuesday night, downing Jackson 5-0, equaling their season mark. Notre Dame had little trouble in many of the matches except for No. 3 singles, as Geneva Hadjiyannis was pushed to 7-5, 6-3 by Chelsea Webber.

No. 1 Singles - Radhika Patel def. Karen Mowens 6-0, 6-2.

No. 2 Singles - Janaki Patel def. Cassie Cayan 6-2, 6-2.

No. 3 Singles - Geneva Hadjiyannis def. Chelsea Webber 7-5, 6-3.

No. 1 Doubles - Sarah Appleton/Rachel Appleton def. Natalie Nicholson/Rosa Aldridge 6-0, 6-0.

No. 2 Doubles - Melissa Delabar/Suzanne Schuyler def. Sarah Kincaid/Caitlin Grey 6-2, 5-2 (forfeit).

Record - Notre Dame 5-0.

A three-goal barrage in the second half provided the difference as South Webster downed Jackson.

Derek Patterson was the main goal scorer for the Jeeps, getting a hat trick in the win.

After a 0-0 first half, Wheelersburg scored three in the second half to begin the season on a winning note.

Wes Lyon scored the first goal at 29:05 on a penalty, and later assisted on a Caleb Brown near the end of the half. Isaac Spradlin scored the other goal, and Pirates goalkeeper Matt Coburn picked up his first shutout of the season with four saves.

“We did a good job controlling the ball, and kept it down in their end most of the game,” said Wheelersburg coach Paul Boll. “Piketon did a good job of being stingy with the ball.”
