“We wanted a presence in the Wheelersburg area and thought the spot on Ohio River Road was perfect for us,” Tim Glockner said.
He said Glockner Toyota Honda had acquired a half-acre property, two properties east of Fred's Restaurant, for $115,000.
Glockner said that he would be putting in a used car outlet there with about 40 late-model used cars.
“I'll start with three employees to run the dealership, but people need to know that this will be a subsidiary of our current dealership on Scioto Trail. I'll still have 130 to 140 used cars at our new car location, so we won't be moving anything. This will be in addition to our business we already have.”
Tim's father, Andy Glockner, said he is happy for his son's growth in the car business.
“He has a passion for the business and is really excited about adding the annex, which I think will be referred to as Glockner Honda Toyota Used Cars,” said Andy Glockner.
Tim Glockner said that Wheelersburg was strategic for his dealership. “Wheelersburg is a great community and it is a great battleground location between us and the Ashland dealerships. This way we will have a presence in that area.”
