It was my privilege to attend the “Guys and Dolls” production at Portsmouth High School recently. It was my first experience in PHS and I was very impressed.

The audience was well-behaved, the programs were well done, the orchestra did an outstanding job and the cast was fantastic! The school and our area can be very proud that we have so many very talented and dedicated people.

The Scioto County Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities Levy Committee and I wish to thank the following individuals for their support of the Third Annual MRDD Golf Scramble.

This year, the event was March 25 at River Bend Golf Course in Argillite, Ky. More than $2,000 was raised to benefit the next MRDD levy campaign.

The winning team was Barlow's Country Kitchen, which included Jay Barlow, Nathan Copas, Aaron Haslen and Brent Harper.

Other winners were Chad Phipps, longest drive; Jay Miller, closest to the pin; and Craig Massie, longest putt.
