The records may be on opposite sides of the spectrum, but SOC I-leading Western Pike got all it could handle against New Boston on Tuesday.

Down three in the fourth, the Indians were able to come back and hold off the Tigers 77-73 on the road to improve to 9-2 on the year. Milan Pavlovic led the Indians with 22 points, making four 3s.

“We were ahead three in the fourth quarter,” said New Boston coach Don Stapleton. “They made some timely shots. That was the best we shot, we just didn't have enough in the tank.”

Jeremy McCleod had 17 points and Michael White added 15 in the win.

Michael Salsbury had 18 points and six rebounds for the Tigers and Rocky Dunkin added 16 points and 13 rebounds for a double-double.
