The NAACP has extended the coat give-away and will have another day from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Spot, 13th and Findlay streets.

Notre Dame plans breakfast

Notre Dame will have a pancake breakfast from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Ye Olde Lantern, Second and Court streets. Cost will be $5 per person. Proceeds will benefit the Notre Dame Prom.

New Boston schools set conferences

Stanton Primary, Oak Intermediate and Glenwood High schools in New Boston will be have parent/teacher conferences Tuesday.

Teachers at Stanton Primary will be available from 3:15 to 8:15 p.m. for conferences,

Oak Intermediate Teachers will be available from 2:45 to 7:45 p.m. for conferences, and Glenwood High School teachers will be available from 2:30 to 7:30 p.m. for conferences.

Flu shots available on Sunday

Flu shots will be give from noon to 7 p.m. Sunday in the gym of the Sciotoville Nazarene Church, Sycamore Street, Sciotoville. Cost will be $15 each or bring Medicare card.

Local NAACP chapter meets Monday

The Scioto County Chapter of the NAACP will have its regular meeting at 6 p.m. Monday at the PIDC Building, with the executive board committee meeting at 5 p.m.

Thanksgiving dinner is Saturday

A free Thanksgiving dinner will be from noon to 1 p.m. Saturday at New Beginning Church of God, Maple Street, West Portsmouth. For transportation, call (740) 353-6499.

Tournament for Texas Hold'em Saturday

Texas Hold'em Tournament will begin at 5 p.m. Saturday at City Limits. Proceeds will benefit the Lee Staggs Foundation. For tickets call (740) 935-0903 or (740) 357-7375.

Community dinner is Saturday

A free community dinner will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at Pentecostal Victory Chapel, Labold Avenue, Highland Bend. Dinners will be delivered to the disabled in Highland Bend. Call Pastor Betty Riley at (740) 574-9930.
