Microwaves make everything faster - including, apparently, crack cocaine.
A Portsmouth man was arrested on drug charges on Saturday after officers from the Portsmouth Police Department found him making crack cocaine in his microwave.
According to a police report, officers were executing a search warrant at 1702 Poplar St. and arrested the resident, 31-year-old Thaaron Holmes, on drug and weapon charges.
During the search, officers found the microwave had been used to cook crack cocaine and there was cocaine residue splattered down the side of the kitchen stove.
