ANN ARBOR, Mich. - How long did it take Michigan coach Lloyd Carr to start thinking about the Ohio State Buckeyes after beating Indiana?

“I don't think you ever stop thinking about them,” Carr said Saturday.

The Wolverines got ready to renew one of the great rivalries in sports with a 41-14 win over Indiana while the Buckeyes routed Northwestern 48-7.

Michigan (7-3, 5-2 Big Ten) moved up to No. 17 from 21st in The Associated Press poll while Ohio State (8-2, 6-1) rose one spot to No. 9.

The two-time defending Big Ten champion Wolverines have rallied with four straight wins since flirting with having their worst record in mid-October since 1967 - when Bo Schembechler was coaching at Miami of Ohio.
