ROSEMOUNT - With the SOC I title out of reach, pride was the next best thing for Clay and on East Thursday night.

With the Lady Panthers hosting senior night festivities, however, it was Clay that won the battle. Despite a sluggish start, the Lady Panthers were able to make it a quick night against the Lady Tartans, sweeping three straight games 26-24, 25-13, 25-16 to finish the year at 10-11.

“We are really a young team,” said Clay coach Kelly White. “We have three seniors, but we don't have any experienced players beyond that. We start a freshman and two sophomores, and there are juniors that just haven't played a lot of varsity, but we are laying the foundation for coming years.”
