A man reported by residents to be parking on their driveways has been arrested.

The Scioto County Sheriff’s Office received complaints from residents of Swauger Valley Road and Shumway Hollow in reference to a white male driving a brown and tan truck pulling into their driveways and just parking there. According to the incident report, the callers said the male subject appeared to be “under the influence of something.”

Scioto County Sheriff’s Deputy Adam Giles said he found the truck in the driveway at 5650 Swauger Valley Road with the motor running and a subject in the driver’s seat.

The report said the driver initially refused to comply with the deputy’s orders to exit the vehicle, but after about a half-hour, he exited and was taken into custody.

Ryan K. Norman, 37, of 198 Sycamore St., Lucasville, was charged with disorderly conduct.

The report said Norman admitted to being high on methamphetamine and acting very erratic. He reportedly did not know where he was, only that he was in Ohio.
