A Michigan man has charged with drug possession and trafficking following a traffic stop in Pike County.

An Ohio State Highway Patrol trooper reports stopping Larry K. Brown, 42, of Detroit for a traffic violation. A press release from the Chillicothe Post of the OSHP did not provide details of the violation.

The trooper reported seeing marijuana and then calling the Piketon Police Department to assist in a search of the vehicle.

According to the press release, the search revealed 63 grams of brown powder heroin in the vehicle’s trunk.

Thomas was being held at the Scioto County Jail, charged with possession and trafficking in drugs, both first-degree felonies.
