Fog Road closes temporarily

The Northeast Bypass Road, commonly known as Fog Road near Piketon, will be temporarily closed for routine maintenance and road repair near the north bridge. Fog Road runs for a mile and a half between Shyville Road and Dutch Run Road around the perimeter of the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant. The road is scheduled to close on Monday, Aug. 29, and is expected to reopen Friday, Sept. 2, 2011. During this closure, it is suggested that the public seek alternate routes around the plant site.

Wastren EnergX Mission Support, LLC (WEMS) is the prime contractor to the U.S. Department of Energy performing facility support services at the Portsmouth Gaseous Diffusion Plant.
