He was born February 7, 1941 in Danville, Kentucky the son of the late Raymond, Sr. and Viola (Benedict) Gifford. Raymond was a loving husband, father and grandfather, the president of Central Fire Protection located in Springfield, as well as a trustee and member of The Pentecostals of Dayton for the past eighteen years. Raymond received and gave much love, and will be sorely missed by his family, friends, employees and co-workers.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents; sister-in-law, Linda Gifford, and nephew, David Potts.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Helen D. Wiley Gifford; children, Karla and Bill Brown, Allen Gifford, Rev. Doug and Belinda Gifford, Brenda and Benjamin Rushing, Karen and Rev. Wylie Rhinehart, Rev. Stephen and Crystal Gifford; brothers, Rev. Michael Gifford, Rev. James Gifford, Tom Gifford, Terry Gifford; sister, Janet Potts; fifteen grandchildren, Joshua, Kara, Rebecca, Andrew, Leah, Grace, Brittany, Bethany, Lauren, Whitney, Micaylie, Falyn, Noah, Emily, Alana; six great- grandchildren, Stephaun, Paris, Ava, Claire, Alexandria, Addison, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday, August 21, 2011 at The Pentecostals of Dayton, 168 Avondale Dr., Dayton, OH 45404. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at his church. Burial will be in Ferncliff Cemetery. Arrangements by the Trostel, Chapman, Dunbar and Fraley Funeral Home in New Carlisle, Ohio.
