Municipal Court Judge Russell Kegley referred the case against Douglas Bowling — whose dogs, authorities said, attacked Bowling’s 14-month-old granddaughter — to a Scioto County grand jury.

Bowling has been in jail on a $20,000 bond.

The fate of the dogs — Hitler, Tater and Moo Moo — will be referred to Scioto County Common Pleas Court.

A Portsmouth Municipal Court representative said they have seven days to send the case to the grand jury.

Scioto County Prosecutor Mark Kuhn said they want to present this case by the end of the month.

Bowling is being housed in the Scioto County Jail, during which time he is incurring a $3 per day charge for each of the dogs that are being house in the Scioto County Dog Pound.
