Bean dinner is Aug. 20

The Limerick Grange will have its 114th annual bean dinner from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the grange hall, 71 Savageville Road, Limerick Community, Jackson. The dinner will include beans, white or brown, cornbread and coffee. Tickets for all you can eat will be $3 for adults and $1.50 for children. Beans to go for one quart dipper will be $1.

Concessions which will be available will include hot dogs, sloppy jones, pie (whole or by the slice), cakes and cold drinks.

Cruise-in is Aug. 20

There will be a cruise-in for all makes from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Waverly Dairy Queen, 712 West Emmitt Ave., Waverly. Registration will be 5 to 7:30 p.m. The event will be held rain or shine. There will be one large award and 14 plaques. There will be music, games, and prizes.

Cars of members of the Southern Ohio Ford Club will be on display. Participants will vote on their favorite club car. One award will be given to a club car.

Proceeds of the 50/50 will go to the American Cancer Society.
