Charles Robert Lambert, age 65, of South Point, died Monday, August 8, 2011 at Community Hospice Care Center in Ashland, Kentucky.

He was born January 12, 1946, the son of Regina (Harrison) Chaney and the late Thorvald L. Lambert.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Charles and Mary Harrison.

Charles “Robbie” was a former employee of Armco Steel in Ashland, Kentucky and Proctorville-Rome Water Works, in Chesapeake, Ohio. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War era.

He is survived by sons, Charles Robert Lambert Jr., of South Point and Marcus Lambert, of Virginia; mother, Regina Chaney, of Jackson; brother and sister-in-law, Mike and Janet Lambert of Coal Grove; sister and brother-in-law, Susan and John McGowan, of Basking Ridge, New Jersey, and two nephews and a niece.

Funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Friday, August 12, 2011 at the Kuhner-Lewis Funeral Home in Oak Hill, Ohio with Rev. Leon Dalton officiating. Burial will follow in Fairmount Cemetery in Jackson. Friends may call Thursday, August 11, 2011 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
