Auction benefits memory walk

Best Care Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Wheelersburg will have a silent auction the week of Aug. 22 through 26 to raise money for The Alzheimer's Association Memory Walk.

During the week of the auction, the items will be on display in the Admissions Office at Best Care from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. only each day. For those who cannot make it into the office, they will offer bidding by phone. Best Care will post a list of items for bid one week prior to the auction. The highest bidders will be announced Friday, Aug. 26, at 7 p.m.

You do not need to be present the day the auction closes to pick up item(s) you won. All the proceeds for the silent auction will go directly

to the Portsmouth Alzheimer’s Association Memory Walk which is Saturday, Sept. 17.

Greenup Schools set special meetings for Decision Making Council

Greenup County Schools will have Site Based Decision Making Council special called meetings for the purpose of principal selection at McKell Middle School, 129 Bulldog Lane, South Shore, Ky.

The meeting will begin at 5 p.m. on Aug. 1, 2, 3, 8, 9 and 10.
