SOUTH SHORE, Ky. — A South Shore man was arrested after he allegedly fired a semi-automatic handgun at a vehicle in which three people were riding.

James R. Orasco, 41, is charged three counts of wanton endangerment, as well as with DUI, driving on a suspended license and possession of illegal drugs.

The incident happened Sunday in Greenup. Greenup Police Chief Roger Russell said officer Josh Wallin got a phone call about shots being fired in an apparent “road rage” incident.

Wallin and Greenup County Sheriff’s Department Deputy Ryan Huston said they found the vehicle described in the shooting a short time later.

They conducted a felony traffic stop on the car driven by Orasco. They said they found the loaded handgun and some controlled substances in the car, Russell said.

He said Orasco was taken into custody without incident.
