Marguerite was born on Dec. 10, 1927, in Portsmouth, OH, a daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Noel and the wife of the late Elmon C. Hutchinson. Marguerite was a member of the Bonser Run Christian Baptist for many years where she was a faithful servant. She was a nurse’s aide at Mercy Hospital in Portsmouth, OH, and was a fruit packer in Porterville, CA. Marguerite’s life’s calling was being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.
She is survived by: a daughter, Mary Letha (Jack) Strickland of Sciotoville, OH; a son, Mike (Jeanette) Hutchinson of Bluffton, SC; three sisters, Norma Lee Yow, OR, Modelle Boone, OH, Gail (Larry) Dickson, CA; two brothers, Buck (June) Noel, CA, David (Marlys) Noel, also CA; and a sister-in-law, Wandy (Lanny) Sturgill, Matthews, SC; grandchildren, Greg Strickland of Chillicothe, OH, Sandy (Darren) Lore of Sciotoville, Keri (Brandon) Sherman of Minford, Micah (Jon) Gussler of Winchester, KY, Matthew (Brandy) Hutchinson of Flatwoods, KY, Brad (Courtney) Kifer of Knoxville, TN, and Allison Kifer of Istanbul, Turkey; great-grandchildren, Alicia (Kevin) Hay, Brandon Strickland, Jaclyn Strickland, Fayth Lore, Samuel Lore, Kourtney Sherman, Karleigh Sherman, Katelynn Sherman, Mason Gussler, Riley Gussler, Benett Gussler, Marley Hutchinson, Paige Hutchinson; and great-great-grandchildren, McKenna Grace Hay and James Landon Hay.
She was also preceded in death by a brother, Earl Noel of Porterville, CA; and a sister, Faye Noel of Sacramento, CA.
Services will be 11 a.m Monday, July 25, 2011, at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston, OH, being conducted by Marguerite’s family members and her pastors, the Rev. Gordon Boggs and the Rev. Danny Deck. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be Sunday, July 24, 2011, from 3 to 7 p.m. at D.W. Swick Funeral Home in New Boston, OH.
