Mobile health center releases schedule

The Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital (OLBH) Mobile Health Center schedule for the month of July has been released. The center will visit the following locations:

Stultz Pharmacy, Applegate Shopping Center, Greenup, Ky. — Wednesday, July 6, Monday, July 11, and Thursday, July 28, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.;

Lewis County Health Department, Lyons Lane, Vanceburg, Ky. — Wednesday, July 13 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.;

Valley Medical Center, Ironton Hills Plaza, Ironton — Thursday, July 14, and Friday, July 22, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.; and

Bellefonte Primary Care-South Shore, U.S. 23, South Shore – Monday, July 18 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Those who wish to attend any of the scheduled stops of the OLBH Mobile Health Center must schedule an appointment by calling the OLBH Women’s Center at (606) 836-7465.

McKell library shows film

The McKell Public Library will be showing “Beverly Hills Chihuaha 2” at 1 p.m. Thursday, July 7, in the library meeting room. All ages are invited to attend. Refreshments will be served. For more information call the library at (606) 932-4478.

Green trustees set public hearing

The Green Township trustees will have a budget hearing for the fiscal year beginning Jan. 1, 2012, at 7 p.m. Thursday, July 7, at the Senior Citizens Building, 144 1/2 Gervais Road, Franklin Furnace. A regular meeting will immediately follow.

OLBH hosts prostate support group

Our Lady of Bellefonte Hospital will host a meeting of Man to Man, a new support group at the hospital concerning prostate cancer. Man to Man will meet at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, July 12, on the fifth floor of Bellefonte Center, 1000 Ashland Drive, Russell, Ky.

The topic of the July 12 meeting will be “Ways to Cope with Stress.” The OLBH prostate cancer support group is free and refreshments will be provided. The group is facilitated by Andrew K. Wright, BSW, M.Ed.
