He was born on July 26, 1932 in McDermott, Ohio to the late James Adolph and Lucy Evans Pertuset.
He was the loving husband of 53 years to Betty Lou Boldman Pertuset whom he married on July 4, 1958. Also surviving are 2 daughters: Anita Faye Sweeney of McDermott, Denise Dawn Pertuset Raubenolt and husband Tony Allen Raubenolt of McDermott, one grandson, Michael Wayne Sweeney, 2 great-grandchildren: Michael Layne and Trinity Nicole Sweeney, one brother, Dan Pertuset of Columbus, Ohio, and one sister, Juanita Bomba of N. Riderville, Ohio. He was preceded in death by a brother, Raymond A. Pertuset, and a sister, Ethel Hayslip.
He started as a laborer and retired as a forman from the State of Ohio, Division Forestry with over 30 years of service and was currently employed with Brush Creek Township. He was a member of Our Lady Sorrows Catholic Church, a member of the Scioto County Fox Hunter’s Club for 45 years, an avid coon hunter, and was active with various youth hunting groups.
Funeral services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, June 25, 2011 at Botkin Funeral Home in Otway with Father David Young and Stan Richards officiating. Burial will follow in the Holy Trinity Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. and Saturday from noon to 1 p.m. at the funeral home.
He is loved by many and will be missed by all.
