Vehicle overturns on Scherer’s Hollow hill

A New Boston woman was not seriously injured Thursday morning when her vehicle overturned while driving over Scherer’s Hollow hill.

According to the Ohio State Highway Patrol, Kaya Hill, 24, of New Boston was driving a 1996 Chevy Camaro over Scherer’s Hollow hill (County Road 163) at 10:15 a.m. Thursday. She reportedly lost control of her vehicle while negotiating a curve, and the car overturned on the road. Officers from the Ohio Highway Patrol responded, and Hill was transported to Southern Ohio Medical Center for minor injuries. The road was closed during the incident and reopened about

1 p.m.

Hill was wearing a safety belt and officers said she was issued a citation for failure to control. The accident remains under investigation.
