He was born July 16, 1955 in Portsmouth to the late George Patton and Ruth Evelyn Moore McKinley.
George is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Lore McKinley, whom he married in Ashland, KY on Oct. 5, 2006; 4 sons; Adrian McKinley, George P. McKinley III, Gregory Howard, Isaac Stanley; 2 stepsons, Jeffrey Lore, Carl Todd; 3 stepdaughters, Angela, Melissa, and Tanya Todd; 5 brothers, Keith, Ronald, Donald, Duane and Dell McKinley; 6 sisters, Kay Kelly, Vickie McKinley, Roxanne Ferguson, Irene McKinley, Diane Gillyard, Jodi McKinley and 8 grandchildren. George was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, Eugene and Carlos McKinley and 3 sisters, Shirley Moore, Priscilla Campbell and Katrina Jackson.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 11 a.m. at the Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth with Elder Vincent Kennedy officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Monday from 10 a.m. until the funeral hour.
