But there may be a silver lining after all. I believe Braxton Miller will make a lot of people forget about Terrelle Pryor, and I do believe it is time to forget about Terrelle Pryor. I already believed this product of Huber Heights was going to give him a run for his money anyway, and now that may already be a given. Go online sometime and check out the Braxton Miller highlights. He is different from Pryor in that he is a pocket passer. But he’s extremely talented.
You’ll say “who is Dan Herron” when you see Bri’onte Dunn. Check out his highlights, too. Then, there’s Warren Ball and Rushel Shell. This team is in good shape.
They’re not going to win any Big Ten title. But they will be competitive. They will win some games, and will, all the while be looking for a coach. But Fickell could develop. He has the players’ respect, and he’s extremely talented and intelligent.
You need to understand, the entire conference was going to change this year anyway. There is no way the Buckeyes were going to dominate anymore because of new arrival Nebraska. So the conference is going to look completely different. They even have two stupidly-named divisions now — Legends and Leaders, whatever that is about.
So I am simply urging people to keep an open mind as the Buckeyes take to the field this season and let them work through all the distractions caused by a handful of selfish players and a coach who chose not to be honest with school officials and the NCAA. As coach Norman Dale reminded the fans at Hickory in the movie Hoosiers, “This is your team.”
