Memorial Day Association needs volunteers

The Scioto County Memorial Day Association is in charge of placing flags on veterans’ graves throughout Scioto County. As there are more than 2,500 veterans in Greenlawn Cemetery alone, help is needed to make sure these veterans receive the honor they so richly deserve. This daunting task could not be completed properly if not for the volunteers from previous years. So they need your help to complete flagging this year.

On Friday, May 27, Saturday, May 28, and Sunday May 29, the Association Grave Flagging chairman will be at Greenlawn Cemetery at 9 a.m. each morning.

If you could donate some of your time for this important tribute, call Rhonda Madison at (740) 858-5388 or (740) 354-0651 and leave a message if no one answers. Your unselfish participation will be greatly appreciated.
