He was born January 30, 1940 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Joseph Lincoln and Catherine Lorraine Jackson Saunders.
Bob was a retired Portsmouth Police Lieutenant with 26 years of service, and he also worked 12 years as a Portsmouth City Schools truancy officer. Jackson was an Army veteran and member of the F.O.P Local #33.
Surviving are his wife, Debra Kay Duckett Jackson, whom he married February 24, 2001 in Greenup, KY; three sons, Troy (Michelle) Jackson, Robert “Robbie” (Shirley) Jackson, and Michael (Sonya) Duckett, all of Portsmouth; three daughters, Patty (Edward) McKee, Tiara (David) Crowder, and Krista Duckett, all of Canal Winchester; one sister, Joann (Garth) Ferrand of Parker, CO; 14 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by a sister, Deborah Ruth Hutmire.
Private services will be held at the convenience of the family, with the James Dickey Post #23 Honor Detail providing military graveside rites, under the direction of Ralph F. Scott Funeral Home in Portsmouth.
