Authorities have identified the man found dead in a burned-out car early Monday morning as Donald R. Kidd, 51, of Ashland, Ky. According to Portsmouth Police Chief Charles Horner, Kidd died of a gunshot wound.

Horner would not elaborate as to whether he was shot in the car or how many gunshot wounds he suffered. Kidd's body was found when firefighters responded to the car fire in an alley off the 1300 block of Findlay Street.

My thoughts and prayers go out to the Kidd family. This looks to be like another recent senseless act of violence, that ended in death in the small town of Portsmouth. Please be strong Kidd family, and never forget that eventually, whoever did this will be caught, and judged by man, and eventually they will face the ultimate judgement, which will be by God!
