Among the notable events, six games will feature teams from the SOC playing each other with another four depending on the outcome of opening-round games. The first day of the tournament will be May 7 with local interest starting May 9 as Northwest, Oak Hill, Piketon, Portsmouth softball teams are in action while East and Eastern will battle each other in baseball.
In division III, the Valley softball and Wheelersburg baseball teams are top seeds while Notre Dame owns number one slots in the baseball and softball brackets. The state tournament is June 2-4 with the baseball final four at Columbus's Huntington Park and softball at Akron's Firestone Stadium.
