Portsmouth West won the 14th Annual Rocky Nelson Wood Bat Classic Tournament in boys baseball action on Saturday at West.
West got into the championship game by defeating Piketon 7-0 in the first game.
Taylor Bailey picked up the win and had 10 strike outs.
Dalton Kenyon and Anthony Knittel each turned in a 2-for-3 performance at the plate for West.
Zane Trace then defeated Piketon 5-1 in the second game to earn the spot in the championship game.
West then defeated Zane Trace 5-1 to take the tournament championship.
"We are playing really well right now," West Assistant Coach Matt Brookes said. "And we feel great with out play right now going into the district tournament."
Luke Morgan earned the win for West and collected five strike outs.
Kyle Auger went 2-for-3 at the plate and drove in Adam Bricker and Anthony Knittel in the fifth inning to seal the win.
Dalton Kenyon went 2-for-4 and earned the tournament's MVP award. Bailey earned the Most Valuable Pitcher award for the tournament.
